Course Objectives
The objective of the training is to expose participants drawn from the Central Planning department of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in various States as well as Officers responsible for Planning in all the other Ministries, Departments and Agencies to the principles, practices and current thinking, concepts and developments on Medium Term Sector Strategies in order to facilitate the process of MTSS across the state, whether this is to be done on a pilot basis or if it is to be rolled out across the state all at once. The training will cover the steps to be followed by all participating line ministries and MDAs with the aim of
• Ensuring an appropriate degree of consistency between the submissions from different ministries; and
• Allowing an appropriate degree of flexibility to reflect between-sector differences and to allow for learning and development through the process
