Our earth is facing the perfect storm or do you not see that yet? The oceans are drying in our time. By 2048, that’s less than thirty years from now, all fishes may be dead.
Only 100 billion humans have ever inhabited our earth of which seven billions are alive today. Yet these seven billion humans kill two billion animals EVERY WEEK. Ten thousand non-human species are wiped out entirely every year because of the actions of one – the human species. So the earth currently faces the sixth mass extinction in cosmological history. That is the virus being created by humans.
Water is the new oil. Nations will soon be going to war for it. Underground aquifers that took millions of years to fill are now running dry. Citizens of poor countries sell their grains to the rich countries while their own children starve in their arms. And the rich of the West feed those grains to their own livestock – the livestock that produce the steak for the Westerner to eat – a slap in the tear-stained face of the poor country’s starving child.
This earth can produce enough for everyone’s need, but not enough for everyone’s greed. We are facing the perfect storm.
